Front Porch Lemonade

Front Porch Lemonade Ingredients :


2 cups granulated sugar
4 cups cold water
3 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 12 large lemons)
6 cups cold water, sparkling water, or seltzer
lemon and fresh mint for garnish
In a medium-size saucepan, combine the sugar and cold water. Bring to a boil over
high heat, stirring with a wooden spoon. Continue to boil for about 5 minutes, or
until the mixture turns clear. Set aside to cool. (Refrigerated syrup will keep for a
month.) In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice and syrup with the water,
sparkling water, or seltzer. Stir and pour into tall ice- filled glasses. Garnish with a
thin slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh mint.
For a contemporary pink lemonade, add a splash of cranberry juice. (6-8 glasses)
