In the morning when you are blow drying your hair what are you doing? Do you stand in-front of the mirror and watch your hair blow around or are you doing something else? This is the perfect time to get in some squats. Stand with your legs shoulder width apart and bend at the knees while keeping your back straight. Try to do 3 reps of 5. Dry hair and thin thighs, what could be better! If you drive to work leave an extra 15 minutes earlier than you normally would and park your car a few blocks away. This early boost of your heart rate while walking the rest of the way to work will give your metabolism a kick-start, starting your day off right. It’s free and no trainer is needed. If you work in an office building bypass the elevator and take the stairs. You can even stop and do calf raises on your way up. To do a calf raise you come up on the balls of your feet and then lower your heel to just below the height of the stair; repeat 5 times. You may find that the other people who have taken the stairs join you in your calf raises. Exercise at your desk. Stand a few inches in front of your chair with your arms outstretched. Now pretend you are going to sit down but stop when your butt is a few inches from the seat of your chair and then raise yourself back up. Try and do 3 sets of 5 and remember to keep your back straight. There are many great exercises you can do that take no time at all, all it takes is a little imagination.
